In 1989 Romania tasted the flavour of liberty. Although its culture suffered from oppression for decades, it had been boiling under the surface. Now it is time to catch up and push things forward.

A new generation of artists started to emerge in the past years and this seems to be just the beginning. There’s a level of an unprecedented enthusiasm around this movement which couldn’t have been possible without the evolution of technology and internet. Foundations are laid down, this is an intermediary phase which is nonetheless crucial for future developments.

HD Music was founded in 2008 in this context with the strong commitment to promote a new wave of electronic music.

Since 2010 the website and its connected social network profiles are aiming to grow into a collaboration – information hub between public, artists, music producers and performers.

HD Music thinks local, acts global and shares a positive message. It’s not about the money, it’s about culture. We’re a not for profit initiative which relies on passionate volunteer work and donations to keep things rolling.
