Although it’s still freezing cold in Romania, we recently got a little bit of balearic warmth in our dropbox to announce the spring.

Reash is a bearded young man born in Bucharest (Romania) who likes to mix as much elements and influences as possible into the classic 4by4 wrapped with punching bass lines and inflicting grooves. The main characteristic of his tracks is emotiveness, because listening them we remember a forgotten act or that first kiss we stole back in childhood.

Like the main sample says: “Rain or sunshine sleed or hell / Well you got to put your hands together / Through any kind of weather…”

The free download of this month comes from Blaster Oslo a guy from Targoviste (Romania) who’s been experimenting with beats for the past 6 years and produced dozens of tracks spanning from hip hop to experimental electronica.

Something about him:

Oslo is an old obsession of mine and I think everything connected to it represents me. Blaster just underlines that and adds an electronic flavour to it or at least suggests it. Still, I don’t  live in a dreamworld, I’ve got a cover like any book.

His residence

I am currently living in Targoviste, a small city with a big potential but unfortunately with no future.

I’d recommend Incipient, Corbii and Puslamale.

Goals

I don’t want to get anywhere special, it’s important if I’m satisfied with what I do.

Studio setup

I’m using a PC and some controllers but I don’t think this is really important.

About “Lateral”

This is my latest track which I envisioned as bearing a genuine Romanian vibe. I sampled some “doine” to make it more obvious and put it on a electronic-minimal template. I think it definitely has its place somewhere out there.

PK203 aka Space Age has been experimenting and playing with different musical genres since 2004. He managed to acquire a nice collection of instruments and learnt to play them all. Take a tour on his Soundcloud to check out what he’s been up to.

He is from Resita, an ex-city heavy industrialized city surrounded by amazing nature which seems to inspire more than post communist pressure.  All his videos are self-made so all you can see and hear is made by him! Anyone still complaining about how hard life is should watch this and remember – if you really want it you can do it, no matter the conditions.

He came hot on the heels of St. Nicholas to deliver this summer evoking bit. Deep blue sky, easy beats and nice arpeggios in this exclusive track for HD Music. We don’t know too much about him besides the fact that he studies music in his hometown of Cluj Napoca.

Scuze took up production a couple of years back and uses Reason with different plugins to put his creativity into action.

Cristina Tasnic aka Muntelevenus is an artist originally from Moldova who lives now in Amsterdam (Netherlands). Her tracks build an eerie pulsating cinematic soundtrack to a psychotic urban landscape where cold sweaty flashbacks pop in occasionally.

Galaxi EP is a coproduction which takes a ride off radar in Galati. It’s a city from the Eastern part of Romania, heavy industrialized with a grimey pressure ever present.

Locally rooted Pake, LMK and Mass Deffect drawn inspiration from it to release it in their music. “Galaxi” sets the tone for a walk through the gigantic complex in its most bass heavy template.

The creeping tech of LMK shuffles in, then peaks with the tearout “My World Bass” by Pake and breathes out to the uplifting wobbly dub by Mass Deffect.
