It’s that time of year again!
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
Here’s some goodies to cheer up your speakers…
This came as unexpected as Santa and we’re glad to share this with you! Injektah has been active as a dj, producer and occasionally promoter in Timisoara for a long time.
The EP is his latest production work and takes up a new direction in sound. To resume it: deep, groovy and hypnotic.
21 tracks summing up our output this year featuring Radio Space Pop, Readymate, Hiten & Hazee, Zgomot, Acqzuel, Pake, Lmk, Mass Deffect, Muntelevenus, Scuze and Mozer.
Spanning as many styles as big the Romanian map is and beyond. Call it ethereal, glitchy, haunting, industrial, experimental, afro or psychedelic and label it under dubstep, idm, broken beat, glitch, nu skool breaks or house. And try not to stroke your teeth…
From 2011 Sonic Ray Distribution will be distributing our digital catalogue. New releases from Radio Space Pop and Readymate are already lined up for early spring and we’re gonna review loads of free tunes from the thickening and blood thirsty horde of up and coming Romanian talent. Add us to your daily dose of social networking if you can handle it and get exclusive goodies besides the occasional cheese chat.
He came hot on the heels of St. Nicholas to deliver this summer evoking bit. Deep blue sky, easy beats and nice arpeggios in this exclusive track for HD Music. We don’t know too much about him besides the fact that he studies music in his hometown of Cluj Napoca.
Scuze took up production a couple of years back and uses Reason with different plugins to put his creativity into action.
Check out his Soundcloud for more beats.
Cristina Tasnic aka Muntelevenus is an artist originally from Moldova who lives now in Amsterdam (Netherlands). Her tracks build an eerie pulsating cinematic soundtrack to a psychotic urban landscape where cold sweaty flashbacks pop in occasionally.
Deep in the realms of Central Station a Sky Walker awakes…
If you want to know more about Muntelevenus check out our feature and short interview we did earlier this year or listen to this mix aired on a Croatian radio station.

Over its 10 year history, Discogs.com has created the world’s most comprehensive database of dance and electronic music, earning credibility and respect as an invaluable resource for collectors, DJs and music enthusiasts alike. Juno Download has partnered with Discogs.com to launch Discogs Digital, a white-label version of the Juno Download store.
Naturally you can also buy HD Music releases via Discogs from now on.
Our release schedule for 2010 looks busier than ever and even more eclectic that we we’d imagined. Here’s a sneak peak of what we’ve lined up until summer. You can listen to some of them on our Myspace profile. The releases will have a digital distribution through Juno Download, Digital Tunes and Beats Digital and we’re already considering to add up to this list some new online shops. If you want to promote – get in touch with us.
HDM004 Readymate: Clash Clap (Original/Drumandbass Version)
We’re gearing into 2010 with Readymate and his 126 BPM funky-soulful-techy fusion called ‘Clash Clap’. If the 4/4 groove is not your cup of tea you can virtually flip this for a more uptempo drumandbass version that keeps the original vibe and adds more breakbeat swing.
HDLP002 Radio Space Pop: Melodic Airwaves (12 tracks)
As we found Radio Space Pop’s drawer filled to the brim with unreleased material we thought to do some justice and compile a selected early works album. ‘Melodic Airwaves’ goes back in time and collects tunes produced between 1997 and 2001 by Nonel Motataianu in his home studio. Gentle melodies, minimal percussive patterns, dense emotional soundscapes and a little bit of space hum is what Radio Space Pop does best and you can’t resist it.
HDEP005 LMK: Tapes EP (Explorer/Tape/Message)
One year after his debut release alongside his partner in crime Pake we’re proud to present you the solo debut of LMK in the form of this 3 track EP. ‘Tapes’ showcases a dark tech influenced dubstep with a touch of garage and oozing deep basslines to match. We can only blame it, in a good sense, on the industrial setting of his hometown Galati. Keep an eye on LMK as it’s definitely one to watch this year.
HDM005 ACQZUEL: Invisible/Londee
As hard it is to pronounce his name (for some) as intricate and groovy his beats are. You’ll need a subwoofer to enjoy this proper. It’s all about the bass and the beats that compliment together in two pumping numbers reminiscent of productions released by labels like Hessle Audio or Hemlock.
We’re honoured Mesmer’s tune for HD Music ‘Solaris’ was nominated as ‘Best Romanian Electronic Music Production’ at this year’s Nights.RO Awards! It’s definitely one of our favourite breakbeat releases in 2009.
