We recently ran through a mention of Aooleu in the French culture blender magazine named Kiblind found by accident in a record store in Brussels. The monthly magazine with a 30k number of printed copies listed the Bucharest based free newspaper first in a string of alike initiatives around the world.
This was enough to make anyone curious to do some further research on the subject. Aooleu is a monthly newspaper featuring hand drawn illustrations and promoting a diverse array of up and coming Romanian visual artists. As it is financially supported by ICR‘s Cantemir Programme you can find it for free in selected stores in Romania and around the world.
If you’re lucky you’ll find one of the 1000 copies but you can also check the back issues on their website which provides some information about the project and artists aswell.
